Wheat Paratha
Makes four parathas Ingredients: 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon ajwain seeds (carom seeds) 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon ghee (clarified butter) Water, as needed

Wheat flour
1/4 cup
Salt to taste

Preparation
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, salt, cumin seeds, ajwain seeds, red chili powder, and turmeric powder.
2. Add ghee and mix well.
3. Gradually add water and knead the dough until it is smooth and pliable. The dough should not be too sticky or too dry.
4. Divide the dough into equal sized balls.
5. Dust each ball with some wheat flour and roll it into a flat disc with a rolling pin.
6. Heat a tawa (griddle) over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the paratha on it and cook until small bubbles start to form.
7. Flip the paratha over and cook the other side. Apply ghee to both sides and cook until the paratha is golden brown.
8. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
9. Serve hot with chutney or any curry of your choice.
