Preparation
1. Rinse the quinoa thoroughly under running water in a fine mesh sieve to remove any saponin residue, which can give the quinoa a bitter taste.
2. In a small pot or saucepan, add the rinsed quinoa and water.
3. Add salt to the pot and give it a stir. Bring the liquid to a boil over high heat.
4. Once the liquid comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid.
5. Let the quinoa simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until all the liquid has been absorbed and the quinoa is tender.
6. Serve the boiled quinoa.
