Tomato Soup

Medium sized tomatoes, washed and chopped

1/2 cup
Garlic clove, crushed

Small onion, chopped

Preparation
1. Heat the butter in a small pot over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté for a few minutes, or until the onion turns translucent.
3. Add the chopped tomatoes, sugar, salt, and pepper to the pot and stir well.
4. Cook the tomato mixture for 5-7 minutes, or until the tomatoes start to break down and become soft.
5. Add one cup of water or vegetable broth to the pot and bring it to a boil.
6. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the soup simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the tomatoes are fully cooked and the flavors have melded together.
7. Use an immersion blender or transfer the soup to a blender and blend it until smooth.
8. Pour the soup back into the pot and heat it over low heat until warmed through.
9. Taste the soup and adjust the seasoning as needed.
10. Ladle the soup into a bowl and serve hot.
