Soya Falafel - High Protein

I love falafels !! They taste so good in wraps, salads, with pita and hummus😻😻😻😻😩😩😩🫶🏻 They’re usually made with chickpeas but I tried making them with soybeans and they turned out pretty good!! Recipe (makes 2 servings, 6 falafels per serve) Blend together- 100g soybeans (soak them overnight; 12-14 hours) 4-5 coriander sprigs 3 cloves of garlic 1 green chilli 1 onion 1 tsp cumin powder 1/2 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1/4 tsp black pepper powder 1 tbsp sesame seeds pinch of baking soda salt

Ingredients for this Recipe

soybeans

100 gm

coriander sprigs

5 nos

cloves of garlic

3 nos

green chilli

1 nos

onion

1 nos

cumin powder

1 tsp

coriander powder

1 tsp

red chilli powder

1 tsp

black pepper powder

1 tsp

sesame seeds

1 tsp

baking soda

1 pinch

Preparation

1. let the mixture rest for 15-30 mins, add 1/2 tsp baking powder

2. shape into 12 falafels

3. air-fry at 180°C for 15-18 mins or till they’re golden brown. you can even pan fry them with a tiny bit of oil

4. falafels are ready 🧆🫶🏻 you can have them as is or make wraps, salads etc
