Ingredients for this Recipe

Preparation

1. Cut the Gavar into small pieces and blanch them in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.

2. Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

3. Add the chopped onions to the pan and sauté until they are golden brown.

4. Add the ginger paste and garlic paste to the pan and sauté for a few seconds.

5. Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they are soft and mushy.

6. Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pan and mix well.

7. Add the blanched Gavar to the pan and mix well.

8. Cover the pan with a lid and let the Gavar cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes or until they are tender.

9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
