Paneer Matar

Makes two serving Ingredients: 100g paneer, cubed 1 cup green peas 1 small onion, chopped 1 cup tomato puree 1 green chili, chopped 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder 2 tablespoons oil Salt to taste Water as required

Ingredients for this Recipe

Paneer

50 g

Green peas

Coriander cumin seed powder

1/2 tsp

Garam masala

Preparation

1. Heat oil in a pan and add cubed paneer. Fry the paneer until it turns golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.

2. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and onion. Sauté the onion until it becomes translucent.

3. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili. Sauté for a minute.

4. Add tomato puree and cook until it becomes thick.

5. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.

6. Add green peas and sauté.

7. Add the fried paneer to the pan and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. Add water to adjust consistency.

8. Serve hot with rice or roti.
