It is commonly believed that whenever we intake processed or unhealthy foods, it only has a direct connection with gut health. This is not true. It also affects our faces. There are various reasons for bloating on the face.
What are the causes of bloating?
Lack of sleep, any allergies, excessive intake of salty food, excessive fluid retention, crying and smoking are most of the common causes of face bloating.
Here are five tips that can help you to avoid bloating of face:
1.USE ALOE VERA GEL ON THE FACE:
Aloe vera has rich anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It helps to soothe the skin and it keeps away wrinkles too. Take 2 tbsp of aloe vera gel and apply it before sleeping. Wash it off after 15 minutes. Do this regularly.
2. EXERCISE:
There are many yoga asanas that can be practiced to reduce facial bloating. Along with this cardiovascular exercises also helps to reduce bloating. Stress and pollution are a part of modern reality. The implication of it can be seen on our faces in the form of fine lines, wrinkles, fat and puffy cheeks.
3. APPLY MOISTURIZER:
The application of a moisturizer or a face lotion will help to reduce puffiness. Only choose moisturizers with natural ingredients to avoid irritation and acne. For a soothing effect, make sure to keep these products in the refrigerator or freezer for a few minutes before applying them as the cold temperature will restrict the blood vessels thus reducing inflammation.
4. STAY HYDRATED:
Dehydration is one of the most common causes of face bloating. This is because when your body is not getting an adequate supply of fluids, it will actually start to retain water. So drinking a lot of water will help keep you healthy and hydrated and there will be a significant reduction in facial puffiness.
5. INFLAMMATION-FIGHTING FOODS:
Certain types of foods will help reduce inflammation. They include all types of fruits, fresh green vegetables, and healthy fats such as monounsaturated and omega-3 fatty acids, found in salmon and other fatty fish. Other good choices include dark chocolate, green tea, turmeric, and ginger. Make sure to incorporate them into your daily routine.
There are several ways to reduce this issue at home like making several dietary and lifestyle modifications to prevent this issue.
It is a great idea to consult a general physician if puffiness is continuing.
